Our office/workshop is based at Leyton Studios in East London, Vinyl FX was established by Andi Niven in 2014 and we became Vinyl FX Group Ltd in 2023. Starting in the sign industry in 1988, learning from the best how to apply self adhesive vinyl to just about everything from speedboats to huge fleets of trucks for companies such as Tesco and The Burton Group. He spent years working for various sign companies, gaining as much knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the sign and graphic industry, until deciding to go it alone.
“So in 2014, I decided it was time to start up my own sign business, this was a trade I was good at and could do well. Until we grew to where we are today, a thriving family business that pride ourselves on always delivering a high quality service to any customer from individuals to large corporations… for us it’s a personal thing.”

I met Andi from Vinyl FX whilst he was dining in my Dalston restaurant and I went over to check if his food was ok and they weren’t being hassled by a wedding party we had in at the same time, this led to a drink which led to a conversation about me getting a new sign.
When we bought our new minibus we wanted it to look really sharp but still be on brand with UK Scouting. I contacted Andi and described what we wanted sending some ideas over and really quickly got back some great design pieces. Andi got exactly what we were after. Not only did Andi design our transfers but he came to us to fit them such a great service. Our minibus looks amazing and we often get asked where we got our transfers we always recommend VinylFX.
Some years after the initial brief our minibus was in a small accident and we needed just one transfer replaced we contacted Andi and he was more than happy to sort us out.
